Learning Teams

Effective leadership is not obtained by using one style of management because every situation requires a different form of management that should coincide with the follower, the leader, and the environment of the situation. The concept of leadership does not conform to the idea of one-size-fits-all because every team, situation, or event has different characteristics, which entails that the management style should coincide with the condition of the people or organizations that have to be led. In relation to this, leaders should also be mindful that there is no perfect management style for every situation because of the very idea that it changes over time due to the different elements that affects a situation.

In line with this, it is also important to point out that leaders have different management styles, which also means that every leader have their respective strengths and weaknesses. The results of the leadership assessment, How Good Am I at Building and Leading a Team, show the different leadership styles of the people who took the assessment. The results of the leadership assessment of four people that were previously discussed show that every people have different characteristics and leadership styles.

Leadership is proven to be very diverse in a sense that every leader has its respective way of managing people, accomplishing task, handling conflicts, and others. Being the case, effective leadership requires carefully assessing the different components of the situation and also the elements that affects the members and the leaders themselves.
